Our new 2006 Jetta/Adoption

Brian and I traded in the Beetle for a '06 Jetta. We LOVE it!

Recently, Brian and I have made the decision to go through the adoption process. We are very excited about this decision. We feel that this is good for our family. Next week we are going to a class at LDS Family Services so we can learn what we need to do to get this process going. It is all I think about and I know that Heavenly Father has had a hand in our decision.

So, we needed to get a 4 door car because I didn't want to fit a car seat in the back of the Beetle. We got a killer deal on this car and couldn't be happier about that.

I am really excited to see how this year is going to play out with the adoption. I know with my luck I will probably get pregnant during this whole thing and then get a baby. It will be like twins. I always wanted twins so I guess that would be ok! ;) I am going to be better at this blog and keep the updates going as we start on this new phase of our lives!!

We've Moved!

Brian and I moved to Spanish Fork, Utah. We are loving it. We have been here a little over a week now. Still trying to get settled, but we are happy here. Mostly because of the money we will be saving! :)
It has been fun to see some friends since we have been here. It really is good to be back. I love the mountains and love that we live just minutes from the Spanish Fork Canyon. The day after we arrived we took a drive up the canyon and drove all the way to Helper (just before Price) before we turned around. It was such a pretty drive....all the fall colors are starting to show. It really is beautiful here.

Yep it even came with a DVD player! We got this car for a steal and it came with fun features. Back up camera, touchscreen radio that is SWEET! I can download all of my music onto it (it is 30 gigs) and never have to take my tunes along because the car already has them. YES! That is my fav feature! There are 3 coolers...one in the dash and 2 in the floor in the middle row. Storage is every where!! There is even a storage bin under the front passenger (which also folds down) for me to hide my purse if I have too!!! The middle seats also recline. So, who wants to go for a ride???

I thought this blog background best describes where we are living. Life is good here in Lake Elsinore. We love our ward. The people here are great! We are having a slight problem with our credit right now. We wanted to try to get this house and when our Lender ran our credit report it had a few extra's on there that didn't belong to Brian or I.....a mortgage to name one. It doesn't look like credit fraud or anything like a stolen identity because when I called on the Hooter's card...yes, that is right, a Hooter's card....they nice gentleman couldn't pull up info with my SSN or Brian's SSN. So, that is good right. Geesh. We just want to buy this cute starter house. Is that too much to ask?

But, other than that, we are good and having fun. One of my Provo roommates and her husband came out a couple of weeks ago and that was fun to see Joleene and Dan. We spent the day down in San Diego. We have also been having fun game nights with our friends Jennifer (one of my mission comps) and her husband Karl. They are our best friends and we really enjoy spending time with them and their cute little girls!

Brian and I are happy here in our little corner of SoCal.

Fun Weekend

Brian and I went to San Diego this weekend. The weather was beautiful. We spent some time at the Mormon Batallion site. It was incredible. The tour was quite fun and inter-active. Brian got to pan for fools gold at the end and we got our picture taken. The spirit was strong and I got to look at the roster and found Thomas Karren (my great, great, great grandfather) and there was a picture and bio on him. Very special to see that. Also found a Samuel Lewis that I think might be a relation, not sure. My dad is looking into it hopefully. ;)

We also walked around Old Town San Diego. Loved it!! It was great. Amazing buildings and fun vendors lining the street. I am in love with San Diego!

Ok, so I don't know what is wrong with my stupid blog but it would not let me write about the pictures we took at the mine and Ghost Town in Jerome. Brian was in HEAVEN with all the old cars. It was pretty cool!

If you have ever been to Jackson California than you have been to Jerome Arizona. It totally reminded me of that. They look a lot alike. Except Jerome is literally on the side of a mountain with an amazing view.

After Spring Training (we tried to get into an Angels game also but it was sold out...bummer) we headed up to Prescott to visit with Brian's Uncle Gary and Aunt Roz (we met Brian's parents up there). Prescott is a very pretty town. I really loved it there. They had the most incredible view from their house. They took us to Jerome (supposed to be a Ghost Town) to check out the old mine there. Pretty cool.....more pics! :)

So I am getting ready to teach my first lesson this sunday. Why is my lesson just not popping for me? Any suggestions on making it a fun lesson? It is lesson 3 in the Gospel Principle book. I am actually excited for this calling. I really love our ward and the women in the ward are so friendly. I actually look forward to going to church. The spirit in this ward really does get me thru the week. I think I am just stressing because it is my first time teaching R.S. since 1998. I wish it was tuesday of NEXT week! ;)

I have an old roommate from Provo that lives in Vegas with her husband. Joleene is one of my favorite people. I thought it was time that Brian met her and vice versa. I also thought it was time for me to meet her hubby. Joleene and Dan got married a couple of months before Brian and I. The four of us get along fantastic. We have so much in common. They really out-did themselves this year! Cinderella's castle is breathtaking!! Everyone was crazy taking pictures. It was soooo pretty. I just stared at it. The pictures don't quite do it justice but you can get an idea of how amazing it is!

I love Christmas time. I love having a Christmas tree in the house. It smells so good. Brian and I are very excited to be having our first Christmas together as husband and wife. We bought this snowflake at Crate N Barrel in Rocklin. We couldn't find a star that we liked but we love this! It is so pretty when the lights are on. I had to show it off! ;)

so many things! My wonderful, thoughtful, sweet husband most of all! My life would be so boring without him! I love you Brian! I am thankful for our families who are so great to us. We are very blessed to have them in our lives. I am thankful for the gospel. It means so much to me. I know that it is true and that Heavenly Father has definitely touched mine and Brian's lives so much this year. I am thankful for the Temple and for the chance that we had to go through the Sacramento Temple when we went up for Thanksgiving. It was the most special part of the week and we are so proud of Carrie for making the decision to go. I was especially thankful for eternal families while we were in the Celestial Room visiting. A very special feeling. Definitely one of the highlights of this year!! Lastly, I am thankful for the chance Brian and I have to live in Lake Elsinore. We love our ward and our home. There is a great feeling here and we know that this is home.

Doesn't it feel GREAT to pay off a credit card? I am in a really good mood today! We are getting ready for my family to come visit. I am excited to see them and to have them see our house. My parents and Carrie came to help us move so I am excited for them to see it unpacked.

and so happy the ordeal is over! It was a crazy move. U-Haul SUCKS! We won't use them anymore. They sold our truck out from under us (even after knowing we were coming in at 9 am to pick it up!!!). I am not going to go into it more, it makes me too mad!
It was a very long day last saturday, but well worth it! We are loving Lake Elsinore! I love the mountains around us. Very pretty here. People are so friendly here also. We are excited to go try out our new ward tomorrow.
We also learned that not only will we NOT be using U-Haul anymore...we will NEVER buy a fridge from a garage sale anymore!!! It took 3 days to clean it out. The inside was the most disgusting thing I had ever seen and it smelled so bad!!! Well, I found out why it smelled...there was still FOOD in one of the drawers!!!!! I know it was only $75 but NEVER EVER again!!!!! It was the worst thing ever that I have had to clean.
The house is starting to look lived in now and not like a storage unit. haha We really do love the house. It is a perfect size for us and Snoopi loves our little back yard!!
This was a great move (despite all the mishaps we faced last weekend) for us. I know that this is the place we are supposed to be at this time. I can't wait to see what adventures Lake Elsinore will bring us.....

Oh! I bought the BEST quilt at a garage sale this morning in Yucaipa! (For those of you that love the Quilt Sale in San Fran) For $20 I got an amazing quilt (would have been a one of a kind in San Fran), King size, 4 pillow shams and 4 valances that all match. LOVE IT!!! Great find. Also found a fantastic Bakers Rake that we are painting blue and putting it in our kitchen. I am going to put my cook books on it...too cute!!! Good day!

Countdown to Elsinore.....

YEAH! We are leaving the 'hood in just a couple of weeks. Our horrible stay here is finally coming to an end! We couldn't be more happy. We found a great townhouse to rent. It is on the north shore of Lake Eslinore. For those of you that do not know where that is, it is in Riverside County just south of Corona. It is a great small town. And the best of all....NO TRAFFIC! I haven't downloaded a picture yet but as soon as I do I will post it. It is 2 bedroom and 2 1/2 bath. And the kitchen is awesome compared to the closet of a kitchen that we have here in Long Beach! There is a ton of closet space and a garage!! We even have a backyard for our Snoopi! She will love that. We go on saturday to sign papers. We are going to our new ward on sunday also! It is a great ward. We have gone to sacrament meeting a couple of times and people seem really friendly. Big difference from the ward we are in now. Very, very excited about that! Life is really good down here in SoCal for this little Reed family!

Today was a happy day! We (the Reed family) welcomed the newest member of the family. I am no longer the newbie in the family. She is beautiful and I soo loved holding her. No pics as of yet. We had a good time at the hospital. Elise is soo excited to have her baby sister here. It was too cute to watch her. There is no name yet...we are all anxiously waiting.

Tomorrow we are house-hunting in Lake Elsinore/Murrieta area. We are very hopeful. There are some cool ones and we cannot wait to see them! We can't wait to move to that area. It will be great to get out of the hood!! :)

He is such a sweet little baby. We had a lot of fun in Sac last weekend meeting our new nephew, Mason Fisher Lewis. It was also Owen's first soccer game! Lot's of fun watching that cute team. I love little kids playing soccer. They are so adorable! Owen made the first goal of the game (and the season!)!!! Way to go O-Dog!

American Idol Concert was a BLAST!!! It was horrible getting into the venue and we missed Michael Sarver, but the rest was fun. Our seats were horrible...we were second to last row on the very top straight back from the stage...they were the size of ants. We could see them better on tv at home. But they all sounded great! Much better live..I was surprised. Good Times!

Brian and I were so happy that we could go up to Sac to spend the 4th with our fam up there! I look forward to our 4th of July BBQ at my folk's house every year. Lots of amazing food!!! Lots of laughter! And, a great game of Love the Ball. We even had a concert in the family room by those who like to play their guitars. It was a great weekend!Friday we got to go eat at Center Court for mom's b-day and dad's retirement. We were the only ones in the whole restaurant. That was really cool. Our waiter even brought our ice cream sundaes for the kiddos. It was really nice of them. We had a fun time. It was great to spend some time with my family....we really miss them. It has been a hard adjustment for me down here in SoCal...I am not a big fan of it. But, my husband is amazing! He is my everything and I am so lucky to have found such a great guy. We just had our 6 month anniversary yesterday. I cannot believe how fast the first 6 months have gone. I so look forward to all of our adventures we will share together.

We stopped at D-land for a corndog for dinner after the beach......the corndog stand was closed because of some construction they are doing for a Little Mermaid attraction (in California)...we were not happy...closed until 2011. hhmmm, not cool.They did a little re-decorating of the ferris wheel and Screamin' California...new Mickey face on the ferris wheel and the sun that says Paradise Pier on Screamin'. It looks cool. No water yet...still adding all the lazer stuff for the light show they are putting in the lagoon.

Last week Brian and I went to see the Angels and White Sox play. We went with our very good friends, Jenn (Gill) and Karl Rothe. We got 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, and 4 drinks for $40. The seats were pretty good considering the price. They look really far away in this picture, but they were really good. We have so much fun with Gill and Karl! I love that we live close enough to them that we can get together often. Last weekend we went down to see them in Calimesa. We took their girls to Chuck E. Cheese and went back to their house to play Price Is Right on their Wii. Fun times!! This weekend we are going to go to the beach with them and get a corndog at Disney California. Brian and I will have to use our passes to go in and get them...they won't have tickets. We can't have them pay $60 for a corndog, right? I love that we have passes and can do crazy things like that. haha

EARTHQUAKE!!!

So, I have just experienced the largest earthquake I personally have ever felt. I did feel the San Francisco one back in 1989, but definitely felt this one more. We just had a 5.0 here in SoCal. I screamed, I totally admit it. Brian and I were just sitting here having a quiet evening watching tv when all of a sudden we were shaking and then before we knew it things were falling all over our living room. The rest of our little home was fine, but the living room had the most fallen. One of the pics behind our sofa fell on Brian. Not hard, but it fell on poor Bri. He and Snoopi went out to check on our car and it was fine.
It was so strange. The sound was horrible. All of a sudden we were shaking and I was thinking a car was going to be coming through the wall we were sitting up against. And then, all of a sudden, that is when the house actually moved from side to side in a very jerky manner and our bookselves looked as if they were going to fall. Incredible. I will not be able to sleep tonight. But, we are fine. No one was hurt. Just a little shaken up. I am ready to move out of California now. ;)

What's been going on....

I felt my first earthquake down here on friday night. I felt like someone was laying under our couch moving it. Nothing else seem to be swaying or anything, except Brian saw the cookie sheet on top of our stove moving. He didn't feel anything either. Oh well. I did.

Well, the new job is going well. I enjoy it. My second day there they offered me a full time position. So, of course, I said sure! I haven't started full time yet, but it will be soon. The people I work with are really nice and the office is huge! They are not even sure how many phone lines we have....only 20 lines show up on the phone. Our phones are huge! A little intimidating at first, but I am slowly getting the hang of it.
Brian's job is going very well. He LOVES it! I am so happy that he does. He deserves it. He is very good at it! He gets to draw for a living so he is in 7th heaven.

We went up to Sac this past weekend and had a good time with the fam. We went to see Dill's little league game. Dill played Catcher! Way to go Dill!! Some of those kids are pretty good. Fun times! We took Snoopi up with us and she was a BIG hit with the kids! Paige had a melt down when it came time for us to leave to come home. She didn't want Snoopi to leave. She fell in love with her. It was too cute.
Our niece, Elise, just had a birthday also. We went to her Hello Kitty party to help out. The girls had tons of fun. It was fun to be around them. Happy 5th Birthday Elise! We love you!

We also had a very special opportunity to go to the Temple with our very good friends, Jen and Karl, to see their precious Isabella sealed to them. We felt honored to be there with them and their family. It was a neat experience that Brian and I will always cherish. We are so happy for them and their adorable family.....we need to plan another Wii party Gill!!!!!! (We got Mater back. haha)

New Job

I start my new job on monday. I am a little nervous, but happy to have a job and contribute to our well-being. I am going to be working as a part-time receptionist in Torrance. It takes me about a 1/2 hour to get there from our house in Long Beach. Cool. I hope it goes well. I think I have been spoiled not working for so long, it will be hard to go back. haha It is only part-time though, so I can do it! :) I will be working from 1-5 in the afternoon. It is for a company that designs software for storing and archiving emails for companies. Pretty cool. The people that I met the day of the interview were really nice and it seemed like a great place to work. Yeah!!!! Wish me luck! Tell me that there is nothing to be nervous about. hahahaha

Tribute to Nick Adenhart

This morning Brian and I drove over to Angel's Stadium to see the memorial that has been left by fans for Nick Adenhart, a young pitcher that died way too young. It was pretty somber. The front of Angel's Stadium has an infield....there is a home plate, 1st-3rd bases, and a pitcher's mound. The flowers and balloons are on the pitcher's mound. We are pretty much still in shock. We just watched him pitch the night he was killed. Such a sad thing to happen. We did learn today that the 22 year old Dolt that killed him and his two friends could get 55 years to life in prison. It is just horrible and a sad time down here in SoCal.

Brian and I just got back from a FABULOUS long weekend in Oregon. It was for his Gma's 92nd b-day. (And as a side note I need to mention what an amazing woman she is....she slept in the top bunk!!! And she climbed out the first morning W/OUT the ladder!!) It was great because I got to meet some extended family on his mom's side! They are AWESOME! I had so much fun with them. We stayed in a great cabin in Lincoln City, on the beach. Amazing! We took all kinds of pics (which I will post when I get them downloaded.) and had fun hanging out with the fam. I got to see where Brian's mom is from....Hebo, Oregon. The cutest small, small town not too far from the Ocean. It was beautiful and fun to see where she lived, her high school, her elementary school, and other places she used to go. Late yesterday afternoon the Reeds all went to the Yaquina Lighthouse just south a little ways from Lincoln City (just north of Newport). The beach was really cool, tide pools and lava rocks. We took some fun pics with the fam and I was in heaven being at a Lighthouse. It was a much needed vacation. Nice to get out of Long Beach for a little while, and really hard to come back.

I love this pic. Brian's mom took it of us at Tyler's t-ball game this last saturday. Brian got me a new camera for my b-day (a little early) and I am so loving it!! My last camera SUCKED bad! But this little Kodak he bought me is amazing. It takes really clear pics (even with his shaky hand) and the color is so much better than my old Nikon!! I was very excited to get a new camera. He also bought me new scriptures (dark, forest green ones) with my new name on them. Now I officially feel like a Reed! :)

Sunday after church we decided to go to the beach and take Snoopi with us for a nice walk....hhhmmmmm, well, it was a little windier than we hoped it was going to be. Major bummer. It would have been a perfect day if it wasn't for the wind. Oh well. We couldn't even open our eyes all the way and Snoopi hated every moment of it. Poor pup. But it makes for some incredible pics. This has been a tough week. Brian and I have been house sitting for his parents while they are in Mexico and we were excited to be out of the hood for awhile...and then two days into it I got totally sick. I caught a cold that is kicking me in the behiney!! It has been horrible. And, we only got to go into the hot tub one night. Bummer. But, my sweet husband totally took care of me. It was so cool to see this place in person!! It is actual located in Van Nuys! Brian found it online and we had to go visit our favorite paper company from PA! It was so cool as we pulled up because you totally recognize the street from the show. Then as we walked up to the gate you could see their cars in the parking lot with the PA license plate on Micheal's car. It was just too cool!! If any Office lovers come to visit us we will totally take you to see this place! It is definitely a must!!!

Adventures in SoCal

Life here in SoCal has been good. This last week we got season passes to D-Land!! We have been 5 days in the last week! Today was the best though because it was raining and no lines! There was no one there! It was amazing....cold, but amazing. We had a great time. Lot's of date nights we will experience there. We are pretty excited about that.

We try to do a date night every week. The pictures below are from a date night we did to downtown Long Beach. We ate at a Chili's on this pier. It was beautiful. Cute pier - somewhat like Pier 39 in San Fran but on a much smaller scale. We had a great time.

Brian is still LOVING his job! I am still looking for a job. We are happy and doing well in our corner of the "Hood" though. It helps that we have each other to lean on. I know I wouldn't be living here single that is for sure. But married life is great! I am very thankful for Brian and all he does for our little family. Life is good. If anyone is ever down in our neck of the woods, call us and we will meet you at D-Land!!!!

I so love being married. My husband is so sweet. He is so unselfish. He takes care of me and makes me feel safe in our unsafe neighborhood. When I am sick he does what he can to make me more comfortable and brings me flowers. He makes me laugh. He is my whole world and I am so grateful that he has come into my life. I was just feeling like I needed to write this. I love you honey!

Valentine's Day

My honey is so great! He surprised me with a trip up to Rocklin for Valentine's Day. We had a great time. We surprised G&G Fisher first! Grandma was speechless and couldn't form a complete sentence...she was too cute. It was great to spend time with them. We had a great time spending time with the fam. I was missing my kids up there. Paige is speaking in sentences and I can actually understand her. She is too cute. The boys were awesome as usual! We had a lot of fun with them.

Valentine's night Bri and I went out to dinner at Claim Jumper's. We got a free entree thanks to a card that mom and dad gave us from their last trip to Claim Jumper's...every card is a winner and we won big! hahaha It was a nice dinner with just the two of us.

We picked up our wedding pics while we were up there too. LOVE THEM! Thanks again to Keri for taking our pics. She did an incredible job and we couldn't be happier with them.
It was a nice weekend. It was nice to be able to leave WITH Brian this time after a quick weekend. I don't miss having to say goodbye to him. Marriage is GREAT!!!

Last night Brian and I went to a taping of Jimmy Kimmel Live! His studio is directly across the street from the Kodak Theater and Graumen's Chinese Theater! We had such a blast! His guest were John Cleese, author Chris Ayres, and the music group was The Bird and the Bee. John Cleese was hilarious!!! He told us that Cleese isn't his real last name...it is actually CHEESE!!! His great grandfather changed it to Cleese. He was pretty funny talking about it. The author was actually pretty funny too. Jimmy Kimmel makes me laugh! He is so dry humored. Is that even a word? I am using it anyway! hahaha Brian LOVED the music group. I like the first song they sung a lot. It is weird and quirky. They were actually more fun than I thought they would be. Brian wants their cd. Next week we are going to a Craig Ferguson taping.....Lewis Black and Shirley Manson will be on! We can't wait!!

So, Brian and I joined a family plan with Sprint and they gave us killer deals on new phones. I saw this phone around Christmas time and fell in love with it. It is my new toy. Fun!! It is so me! The red one is Brian's and he was so excited to get rid of his crappy phone for this one. It has lot's of fun options on it. ;)

Date Night at Santa Monica Pier

We went to the Pier for dinner (Bubba Gump's) and for a nice stroll down the pier. We had a good time. Little chilly, but I loved it. At Bubba Gump's we bought these icee type drinks that they have that they serve in these really cool glasses that light up. YUMMY!! And they even let us keep the glasses. Fun times! I had a really nice time with my honey.

New Beginnings

Hi All! We are alive and well in Long Beach! It is GREAT! It is so warm here this week....high 80's! Crazy!

We are trying to get moved in....lot's to do. Slowly it is getting done. Brian is working on a portable kitchen island right now and once that is done I can finish putting away the kitchen. We love it here. I ventured out all by myself today down Long Beach Bvld to get some envelopes and "candy beans". We watched Arrested Development today while we ate lunch. hahaha Those that have watched will get the candy bean reference.....

Today is Brian's b-day!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIAN!!! We are going to go out to dinner and then down to hang out with his parents. It will be fun.

I just wanted to thank EVERYONE involved with our wedding last weekend! You made our day PERFECT! We will be sending formal thank you's, but I wanted to thank you now! We appreciate everything that was done for us. We love you all a lot!

We are happy and life is good. We love being together for more than just a few days at a time every few weeks. It was so nice to actually get to drive home with him on monday. We are excited to start our new life and see what adventures await us!!!!

So, nothing like waking up (the monday before the wedding) to a house full of 30 guys taking samples of your house for a lawsuit against the housing developer. Stupid company! Talk about lazy....anyway.....my mom and I have so much to do and now we are stuck until 2pm. Can you believe this? What do you do? It sounds like they are taking down our house!!! Lot's of drilling and banging....I just wanted to go shopping. ;)

Reed Family Pre-Christmas

This weekend was a blast!! For starters, Brian and I found an apartment. It is actually a 4-plex and we are on the end so we only have to share one wall!! It is in Long Beach. Not too far from Bri's work. We are going to sign a 1 year lease and in the meantime look for something else. It is a little scary neighborhood, reminds me a little of Stockton, but it will do for now and we hear the ward is great!

Friday night we went to Mom and Dad Reed's ward Christmas party. It was very nice. The food was soooo yummy!!! Ham, baked potatoes, fresh green beans, green salad...Janee, what is the name of that salad? I just know it as "Janee's Salad" ~ that is what Brian calls it. :) They had butcher paper on the tables and they melted crayons into little snowflake and tree molds so we could color and draw at the tables. Very fun. I think that was Brian's favorite part. Janee came with Elise and Jason. It was nice to be able to spend time with them.

Saturday we had "Christmas". They were all too kind to us. Thank you guys so much for all the amazing presents! Brian's mom loaded me up on Nativity sets....LOVE THEM! They got us some stuff off our registry. Brian got a new IPod and was soooo excited about that!! He got me beautiful diamond earrings. So sweet of him. Then his dad made "Bodacious Omlets". They were awesome! However, all of us that ate from the first batch, didn't feel too well for the rest of the day.....we will just leave it at that. Saturday evening we visited with one of my mission comps, a very good friend of ours (Jenn and Karl). We got to see their cute kids and had a great time. It is fun to spend time with them. We made plans to go back for Brian's b-day for a Wii party! Jenn is going to kick me in the behind in Guitar Hero! hahahaha

Sunday we tried to go to our new ward, but went to the wrong one. Too bad too because we really liked the ward. Everyone was so nice and came up and introduced themselves to us. We were told that our ward is very nice too. We drove around Long Beach to check it out. Brian knew most of it since he served there on his mission. Pretty cool that we get to live where he served his mission.

We had an AWESOME weekend!

The Wedding Dress

So, at my fitting the other night I got to actually put on THE REAL THING! She had it made. We marked where to hem it and I gave her my trim....I felt like a princess and that was before it was even finished! She said that it will be done by Christmas. She rocks! The fitting was tons of fun the other night. Then I spent some time with Gma Fisher. Gpa went to see Sarah Brightman with my uncle. It was nice to sit with her for a little bit.
Brian and I decided to no go D-land....we need to save our money to move me down there. Bummer. I guess we will have plenty of opportunities when I am down there for good.

Pre-Christmas Fun

I am so excited! I am heading down to O.C. on thursday to spend time with my future in-laws for some pre-Christmas fun. I am looking forward to have Christmas with them on saturday morning in our pj's. I haven't been down there in so long and I am so looking forward to going and spending some time with them.
Brian and I are discussing going to Disneyland on saturday night for a date night. We want to see the snow on Main Street. That will be a blast....at least, I hope it will be. We didn't have a good time our first trip to D-Land as a couple. We were there for 3 1/2 hours and went on 3 rides. We got to see the fireworks while riding Thunder Mountain. That was actually pretty cool. So, we are hoping for a better time this time. I will give an account later with pics.
I finished my Christmas shopping and I am so happy!!!!!! :) They are all wrapped too. I am proud of myself. Now I can sit back and relax and enjoy the holiday. Yeah, right, relax.....I get to do wedding stuff! It is on my brain 24/7. Tonight I have a dress fitting and it should be the last in the mock dress. I am so excited! I am trying it on with my shoes and poofy slip! FUN!
Wedding plans are coming along. I am excited. The countdown is on and Brian and I cannot wait!

Lot's to be Thankful for.....

Brian came up this weekend. We spent our first thanksgiving together. We were very excited! We started the weekend off with dinner at Marie Calendar's for dinner with the Lewis Clan. Fun to see them....food isn't so good.
Thanksgiving day started with a nice walk in the fog at Run To Feed The Hungry. It is held every year at Sac State College...and surrounding neighborhood. We did pretty well and had a nice morning walk together. The rest of the day was spent with family. We had a yummy lunch with my immediate fam and G&G Fisher. Later that evening the Roman Ct. Fishers headed over for fun and frolic. A good time was had by all.

Friday I went to Target to do a little shopping ~ yep, for ME! I have been waiting all year for that sale because Gilmore Girls goes really cheap and I needed Season 7 to complete the set! I also got something for my nephew's b-day in a couple of weeks. Brian and I helped my dad put up our Christmas Lights on the house. (Brian said that was one of his favorite parts of the trip.) Later that night, Bri and I went to G&G Fisher's to meet the fabulous woman who is making my wedding dress. I needed to try on my mock gown....I am so in love with it all ready! She is going to make a beautiful dress!!!!! Thank you soooo much Nila!

Saturday was my bridal shower. It was great to see everyone that showed up! Thank you all so much for coming and sharing that day with me, it really did mean a lot. I wish Bri's mom and sister could have been there....then it would have been perfect.

We got some neat stuff and I think the funniest part was watching the grandma's looking at my honeymoon treats that my aunt and some cousins gave me. Thank you so much to my mom, sister, and sis-n-law for putting on such a nice affair. The house did look very pretty and feminine and the food was awesome! My sister-n-law is Martha Stewart. haha

Saturday, while we were having the shower, the boys went to see Bolt at the theaters. I think they had fun. I know Brian was on cloud 9 seeing that movie! Thanks fella's for showing my man a good time.

Saturday night, me, Bri, Carrie, and mom went to the HORRIBLE Kings game....what a pathetic game. Don't even get me started. Brian wore the Atomic Chicken jersey I had made for him. He was so cute because he was so excited to wear it. It was a pretty good gift....I do have to pat myself on the back for that one! ;)

Sunday was sad to see him go....but he had to get back so he could start work today!! He is so excited for his new job as a paid search marketing person. I am excited for him too.

Next thing......find an apartment in North Hollywood, or as people down there lovingly refer to it as......NOHO.

We received awesome news last week ~ Brian got the job he has been waiting 15 years to find! We are both very excited. He starts next week. It is located in North Hollywood, so look out all you celebrities because here we come!!! We are now searching for apartments in that area. FUN!

A Nice Weekend

Brian came up this weekend. It is always great when we can actually be together in the same town. We had dinner with the fam at our favorite mexican joint in Sac and then played games at G&G Fisher's house. Fun times were had by all. I think that visiting with G&G is Brian's favorite thing to do when he comes.
On saturday we went to see Madacascar 2 and we both enjoyed that. It was funnier than I thought it would be. Afterwards, I took Bri to my favorite music store in Downtown - The Beat - and we both bought cd's. I hadn't been there in forever! I missed it.
My favorite day was yesterday. We went to my bro's ward to watch the boys in their Primary Program. They both did a very good job. I was proud of them. I teared up a lot (primary songs bring that out in me.) and Brian just put his arm around me and rubbed my shoulder. He is too good for me.
My bro and sis-n-law, with the kids, came up for a late lunch yesterday. I love how much the kids love Brian. Miss P warmed up to him immediately this time. It was really cute. We had a nice weekend and are already missing each other and counting down the days until he comes for Thanksgiving - 16 days!

Going to the Temple.......

Brian and I met online on LDS Mingle. Funny how you can actually meet your soulmate on the computer. My favorite invention so far! We have been dating since March of this year and knew pretty early on that this was it we were done looking. He is such a sweet man that always puts me first. I am trying hard to do the same for him. He makes me laugh every day. I love his quirky sense of humor. I love his testimony of the gospel and most important I love how well he gets along with my family. It feels so natural to have him around.

The long distance thing is LAME! hahaha If anyone has ever had a long distance relationship can so feel our pain. Life is so much easier to deal with when we are together. I am very excited to see what life is going to bring us. I think Brian is most excited about the fact that we both LOVE Volkswagons. Yep, I have even given in to the whole mini van thing now that VW has one. His dream is to own a VW Bus/Westfalia so the fact of BOTH of us having a "van" just thrills him to death.....I do what I can to make him happy.

Well, I wanted to start our blog before we got married so we can post our fun wedding plans for everyone to see....and I am always open to any suggestions by anyone that has gone thru this before!! Good place for flower, cakes, etc. A friend of my mom's is making my dress and I am so excited about that....can't really go into it on here because Brian comes on this site....sorry. But, my colors are purple of course, anyone that knows me will know that is the color I have to have. I have always LOVED purple.

I am so excited to be getting married to my best friend...I know that sounds cheesy, but he is. He is the first person I think of in the morning and the last person I think of at night. What can I say? He is amazing!
